Effective immediately, proof is now required as a prerequisite to a unit's recharter or an adult membership application. This "gatekeeper" approach is founded on BSA's requirement that all adult members must complete YPT by activating a My Scouting Account.  If you are not current in YPT, go to http://www.scouting.org/Training/youthprotection.aspx to begin the process.  The online training expected completion time is less than 40-minutes.  All that is required is to enter your BSA membership ID number to activate your myscouting.org account.

Youth Protection must be taken every two years and is available to all BSA volunteers, registered and non-registered.
